On 15th July 2023, we celebrated our 9 year anniversary as a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) and what a 9 years it has been! Over the years we have celebrated huge milestones including:

• Completing an asset transfer for the community to now own the former Dryfesdale Primary School.
• Having planning permission granted for the site by D&G Council.
• Being awarded £5.1million in funding to begin the project. 
• Appointing 2 paid members of staff to help oversee the project. 
• Running various events for the local community.
• Creating various volunteer opportunities for the local area. 

And we have much more exciting times to come! 

Later in the year we hope to begin construction on the former primary school which will aim to be completed by the end of 2025 - fingers crossed!
