Exciting funding news to share from the Investing in Communities Fund (ICF) which is provided by the Scottish Government.
Back in June last year we applied for a £97,000 grant through ICF and we are delighted to say we are 1 of the 100 groups who have been recommended to receive this funding over the next 3 years! To top this off we have also received the full amount applied for which is amazing news.
This amount will be spread over 3 years and will cover half of our project manager salary for 2025-2026, half of our communications officers salary until 2025, various running costs, insurance for the LOS site and money to help kit out the old school with items ranging from furniture to different appliances. We are extremely grateful to the Scottish Government for including us in this years list of beneficiaries as without funding like this then our project would not be possible.
The ICF is a multiyear communities fund that is delivered as part of the Empowering Communities Programme through the Scottish Government. The fund targets the most disadvantaged communities to deliver projects, services and activities that address poverty and disadvantage on their own terms. The fund also helps to meet targets as set out in the Tackling Child Poverty Delivery Plan 2022-26 and to underpin the Place Principle by encouraging more joined up collaborative approaches to services and assets to achieve better outcomes for people and communities.
